A radical sound is not achieved exclusively through noize and speed: the composition’s originality, the from the inside subversion of ultra-codified genres and the fetishist plagiarism of global jingle-scape can point out other possible way towards sonic belligerence. Or better, towards – Belligeranza, the S.B. sublabel that searches for an extreme attitude between intricate, slowed-down breaks, in two words, DOWN-TEMPO EXTRAVAGANZA. But rhytmic devolution is not the sublabel’s only target, turntablism in fact, already explored on S.B. releases since the 03, represents the other field of activity of – Belligeranza: grooves, scratch FX, round, loop, weird spoken-word made in Italy! “Qui cucinale tutto con soia..”-”Li mortacci soia!!!” (Bombolo), Delitto al Ristorante Cinese, 1981.
La radicalità non è data esclusivamente dalla velocità e dal rumore: la originalità della struttura compositiva, la sovversione dall’interno di generi ultra-codificati e il plagio feticistico del jingle-scape globale possono indicare altre vie verso la belligeranza sonica.
O meglio, verso – Belligeranza, sotto-etichetta di S.B. che ricerca un’attitudine estrema tra breaks intricati contraddistinti da un generale rallentamento delle battute, in una sigla, DOWN-TEMPO EXTRAVAGANZA.
